Life: Creation Light

My Words Were Lost In a Maelstrom

I'm here now having
survived years that swept by, that
i tried to lay hold of, that i will try to lay hold of
again.  see, i 've touched mysteries while looking for
the El Dorados to be discovered in one golden thought
while ceilings fell in over my bed and walls broke away
and I was wrapped in half-light.  the scent of the cold
and the damp and of bodies washed in thin trays
formed a veil over things.  i rested in it as comfortably
as i would in a resurrection shroud.  now I've risen, anointed as it were by these
wet covered sidewalks; breathing life again in the darkness before morning, not tired yet
 of waiting
between concrete and glory.
